Our History

Parlato & Associates Ltd was purchased by Darren Parlato on the 1st of April, 2010. Having always aspired to owning his own Chartered Accounting firm.

Darren completed his Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) from Massey University in 2001, and became a Chartered Accountant in 2004. He has worked as an Accountant around the Manawatu and Horowhenua regions, namely in Palmerston North, but also in Levin as well. Born and bred in Foxton, Darren grasped the opportunity to set up his own practice working close to home and family, and giving himself the ability to servce the Manawatu and Horowhenua community.

Parlato & Associates Ltd is located on 7 Avenue Road, Foxton in a beautiful art deco building making clients feel at home from the minute they enter. Iona Parlato is Parlato & Associates office manager and has been working along side Darren since March 2018. Parlato & Associates bring modern accounting practices with professional, friendly service to the Levin/Horowhenua and Palmerston North/Manawatu areas, and they intend to be here for the long haul.

Darren has knowledge and experience in all facets of accounting, from simple tax advice, to full company, trust, partnership and sole trader accounting,start up of new businesses including business purchase advice, budget & cashflows, tax advise, rental property accounting, and income tax preparation.
